In 2014, TN Governor Bill Haslam signed into law the Tennessee Promise Bill. This bill promises that all eligible Tennessee high school seniors will have the option of a free college education. By signing up for the Tennessee Promise, students will be able to attend a 2-year technical school or community college for free. In the event that students elect to attend a 4-year university or college, the Tennessee Promise Bill will apply an equivalent sum to the student’s 4-year tuition.

To be eligible for the TN Promise Bill for the college school year beginning August 2015, students must sign up by November 1, 2014. Visit the TN Promise site to learn more and register for your free college education.
